The concept of “spa” appears as early as 1000 B.C. Generally speaking, spas were associated with “taking the waters” in flowing springs, ocean waters, or quiet pools. Both the ancient Romans and Greeks found the spa to be an integral part of their lives, both for relaxation and to increase the beneficial outcome of medical treatment. The Romans carried that notion to the far-reaches of the known world. In the American Colonies as early as 1777, physicians recommended “spas” to enhance their medical treatments. Coming full circle from the ancient city of Bath, UK to the first day spa in Manhattan in 1907 (Elizabeth Arden) and now back to the wellness spa concept, The Spa at the Garden of the Gods Collection in association with the International Health and Wellness Center inhabits both worlds.

While every service we offer is relaxing and strengthening for body and mind, we also recognize that our services play an important role in maintaining or returning to a state of well-being. In addition to our wide range of health promoting services, the following services are offered specifically for those who are facing health challenges.

Healing Touch Massage

50/80 min, $125/$175

A restorative massage with a special awareness of issues associated with oncology medications and treatments. Each massage is personalized. Our massage team has been trained to positively impact the lives of cancer patients with a healing touch during and post treatment. Each treatment is unique in its design.  If currently undergoing treatment, a physician’s release is required.

Healing Touch Facial

60 min, $125

A restorative facial that addresses skin issues associated with oncology medications and treatments. Skin is gently cleansed and followed by products that specifically address each individual’s need for moisture balance, cellular health and barrier protection. Our esthetics team has been trained to positively impact the lives of cancer patients with a healing touch during and post treatment. Each treatment is unique in its design. 60 minutes $125 plus If currently undergoing treatment, a physician’s release is required.

Lymphatic Enhancement Technology

60 min, $125 +

Using an electronic device and supported by manual stimulation techniques, this health inducing therapy improves lymphatic drainage and increases fluid flow. Providing various fields of low vibration energy with the intention of stimulating the lymphatic capillaries to increase fluid flow as well as break down protein-rich interstitial fluid, LET is a gentle, relaxing and non-invasive treatment that appears to work more effectively than manual techniques used alone. LET supports the immune system, improves localized swelling, assists in healing pre and post surgery.

General Detoxification

To assist the body in finding “balance” or homeostasis, we offer many services. Please review the Pure and Sense Soft Pack treatments, and Body Therapies to find many options. Lymphatic Enhancement Technology is also a tool to cleanse your body and reduce the strain on your organs.

Do I have to be a member of The Club at Garden of the Gods or guest to use the spa?

No. Our Spa & Salon services are available to the public. We look forward to developing warm and friendly relationships with residents of our surrounding community.

How do I schedule a service or treatment?

Contact our Spa Concierge at 719-520-4988 or ggcspa@ggclub.com, or submit your reservation request online.

Why do I have to provide a credit card number?

A credit card is used to hold your reservation and ensures that our staff will be paid in the case of a no-show or late-notice cancellation. Your credit card will not be charged prior to your arrival, and upon check-in, you may choose another form of payment. In the case of a no-show, however, the full-service price will be charged.

What is the Spa’s cancellation policy?

If you are unable to honor your scheduled appointment time, we respectfully request a 24-hour notice. Reservations made for same day service are unable to be cancelled.  If the appointment is not cancelled at least 24 hours in advance, the full price of the service may be charged. We understand that certain situations may arise that prevent cancelling or honoring an appointment; please contact our Spa Manager at 719-520-4983 if extreme circumstances apply.

How do I tip?

A 20% service charge is added to the retail value of your services for the day.

May I order lunch at the Spa?

Absolutely! Choose from a variety of delicious options on our Beach & Cable Barista dining menu, and your order will be delivered to you in the Spa.

May we bring our own alcohol to the Spa?

No, but we have a variety of alcoholic beverages available for you to order by the glass or bottle during your visit.

Should I bring my swimsuit?

Many guests may like to wear swimwear while enjoying the salt rooms, saunas and experience showers.

Do I need to wear a robe at the Spa?

We offer a plush robe and sandals to all guests. These are for your comfort and convenience but are not required. You may change in your treatment room. Modesty wraps are available by request.

What should I wear during my services?

We offer a variety of options, as your comfort is our top priority. You may disrobe to your comfort level. Spa robes are available, as well as modesty wraps and disposable undergarments. These are available for both men and women. “Street” clothing may not be suitable for certain massage and body treatments, as the oils and products used may get on your clothing.

May I bring my children to the Spa?

Our Spa and Salon offers a time of peace and relaxation for our guests. Unless your child is scheduled for a service, we ask that you make alternate arrangements for their care during your service time. Children may not be left unattended on the Garden of the Gods Collection property. Members and Resort guests may contact the Front Desk – 719.632.5541 – to make arrangements for your child to enjoy Kids Club (located at the Recreation Center) during your services. Kids Club is open 9am – 12pm, Monday – Friday and is appropriate for children independent in the restroom.

May I receive services if I am pregnant?

Yes! The Spa offers a wide variety of services that will be safe and comfortable for you during pregnancy. In order to ensure your safety, we do not perform any massage services during the first trimester. Our policy is to book pre-natal massages starting the 13th week of pregnancy.

What are my responsibilities as a Spa guest?

Your safety and comfort during your Spa experience is our top concern. So that we may serve you better, we ask that you please advise us of any health conditions or special needs prior to your treatment. Your therapist will determine the best course of action in the event that a service does not appear to be suitable for you. We are committed to making your visit to our Spa pleasant and enjoyable.

Look, Feel and Act Your Very Best

Our spa concierge team is available to assist in choosing treatments that best serves your specific needs. Certain treatments require a specific preparation by your therapist so pre-scheduling is important.


Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment to complete paperwork and change into your spa robe and slippers. As a guest of the Spa you may enjoy the sauna, co-ed whirlpool/solarium, and the infinity pool.

Hints at scheduling your appointments

It is best to do heat therapies prior to a facial, not after. In addition, please schedule massages and body treatments prior to facials. Reservations are recommended for all treatments.

Mobile Phones

Please respect the serenity and calm of the spa environment. Please silence your mobile phone when entering the spa and secure it in your locker or place in the mobile device “sleeping bag” provided for you.

Changing Rooms and Lockers

The Spa has changing rooms and lockers to secure your belongings. Please leave valuables at home or in the resort safe. A plush robe and slippers will be available for you to enjoy during your spa visit. Our salon, if prescheduled, can provide a blow-out should you have a social engagement soon after your spa visit.

Scheduling and Missed Appointments

Treatment times begin and end on schedule. Please plan your check-in accordingly. We realize that sometimes plans change. If you must cancel your appointment, please provide us with 24-hour notice to avoid 100% charges for your services.
