Rich Parker, PGA
Director of Golf
Rich Parker comes to us from Rocky Mount, North Carolina where he has been the Head Golf Professional at Benvenue Country Club for the past 15 years. Along with substantial professional golf management experience, he brings great enthusiasm and vision to our operation and tournament programs. Rich and his wife Beth have three children: Meredith (10-years), John (5-years), and Andrew (3-years).
Ben Spiers, PGA
1st Assistant Golf Professional
Having grown up in the Colorado Springs area, Ben attended Manitou Springs Elementary, Middle, and High Schools. Ben has successfully completed the PGA of America PGA/PGM professional golf management program. This program is designed to equip golf professionals with the tools necessary to manage their own facility, and has a primary focus on teaching the game of golf. Prior to joining Garden of the Gods Club in 2008, Ben worked at The Broadmoor Golf Club for four years. He enjoys playing golf, hiking, and spending time with friends and family during his free time. He and his wife, Rachel, are proud parents of a baby girl, Alivia born on December 31, 2009, a son, Nolan born on August 17, 2011, and another son, Graysen born on March 28, 2015.
Doug Wilson
Golf Operations Manager
Doug has worked at Garden of the Gods Club since June 1988. He moved here from Palm Desert, California where he worked for Sunrise Company at Palm Valley Country Club for five years. His daughter, Ashton, happily dominates most of his free time with all of her energy, but when he can slip away he also enjoys playing golf with friends and traveling.
Jeanne Smith
Merchandise Manager
A native of Colorado, Jeanne and her husband, John, have lived in Colorado Springs since 1973. Jeanne has been part of the Garden of the Gods Club family since 2001. The Golf Shop has been featured in several trade publications and is in the top 100. She has three children and six adorable grandchildren. When not at work, she enjoys golfing, all mountain sports, and whatever the grandkids want to do.
Michael Loosley, PGA
Assistant Golf Professional
A native of Colorado Springs, Michael played on the golf team at North for two years and Palmer High School for three years. As a sophomore, he received the Most Improved Player Award and as a senior, he won the Most Valuable Player Award. When not playing golf for Palmer, he was playing hockey and won a State Championship in his senior year. After graduation, he began to play more competitive golf in local, CGA and USGA events. During high school, he began his golf career at Cherokee Ridge Golf Course as a member of the Outside Services and Pro Shop Attendant Teams. In 2004, he was hired as the Pro Shop Assistant at Cherokee Ridge and quickly realized that he wanted to pursue his golf career and become a member of the PGA. For the past five years, he tended bar at Garden of the Gods Club. In October 2009, he married his long-time sweetheart, Rebecca. He and his wife are proud parents of a son, Carter born on December 2, 2013.
Edward Bodigheimer
Assistant Golf Professional
Edward Bodigheimer, the new assistant golf professional, arrived at Kissing Camels as a graduate of the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs Professional Golf Management program. Ed began playing golf at the age of four in Columbia, South Carolina and grew up in Longwood, Florida. In the late 1990’s he was a member of the Lake Brantley High School golf team and worked at several golf facilities in the Orlando area. In 2001, Ed served most of his four years with the United States Air Force at Altus Air Force Base, Oklahoma. When he moved to Colorado in 2005, he continued working in the golf industry. He has worked at several golf facilities including The Broadmoor Golf Club and Walt Disney World Golf. In addition to playing golf, Ed likes to mountain bike, camp and read.
Caroline Easton
Golf Events Coordinator
A Colorado native, Caroline moved to Colorado Springs to attend the University of Colorado, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing. She also earned an MBA from Regis University in International Business. She has two wonderful grown children (Shari and Don) and two adorable grandchildren (Ben and Noah). All of these family members live in Colorado and are nearby for frequent visits. She has a great partner, Jim Easton, with whom she is sharing this life. She volunteers for various non-profits, and is a member of Executive Women International and the UCCS Alumni Business Association. Caroline loves photography, gardening, playing the piano, and golfing. In general, she enjoys the outdoors and feels fortunate to live and work in our beautiful state of Colorado!
Chris Ewen
Golf and Grounds Superintendent
Chris was born and raised in Iowa. He graduated from New Mexico State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture and an emphasis in Horticulture. He began his golf course maintenance career at the NMSU University Course and Santa Ana Golf Clubs in New Mexico as the Assistant Golf Course Superintendent. He moved to Colorado Springs in 2006 to accept the role of Assistant Superintendent with Garden of the Gods Club and Resort. Then he was promoted to the Golf Course Superintendent role in 2007. He holds a Class A status as a Superintendent through the GCSAA. When not working, he is passionate about his family and Cardinals baseball. Chris and his wife, Danniella have been married since 2008 and have two wonderful children, Austin, 5 years old and Michaela, 4 years old.
